Terms of Service.

These terms are given to you by getaurora.moe. Downloading, installing or using our product means you automatically agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Aurora. Aurora is licensed, not sold, under the Aurora Application License v1.2 (the "License"). These terms summarise and supplement the License; if anything here conflicts with the License, the License controls.

1. Grant of License

• Aurora is a source-available application, with our source published at GitHub. Permission is granted to view, download, compile, run and modify the Software solely for non-commercial, personal, educational or contributional purposes.
• This is not an open-source license endorsed by the Open Source Initiative. No rights are granted other than those expressly stated in the License, and all rights not expressly granted are reserved by the Authors.
• Every distribution of Aurora, in source or binary form, modified or unmodified, must include a complete and unaltered copy of the License in a place the recipient can readily access.

2. Official Sources and Downloads

• GETAURORA.MOE is the official domain for Aurora. Our app can also be found over at external mod providers such as GameBanana, NexusMods, AyakaMods and GitHub. We are not responsible for any fake domains, unofficial redistributions or third-party scam offers.
• The Aurora installer and portable versions is mainly distributed through getaurora.moe/download. By clicking download and installing our application, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

3. Commercial use is prohibited

Commercial use of Aurora, modified or unmodified, is prohibited without prior written permission from the Authors. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Selling Aurora, or selling access to it or to any part of it.
• Placing Aurora, any release of it, or any of its features behind a paywall, subscription, membership tier or any other payment requirement.
• Bundling or including Aurora in any paid product or paid service.
• Sub-licensing Aurora to any third party.
• Charging any fee for the installation, configuration, modification or support of Aurora as a paid service.
• Distributing Aurora through advertising-gated download lockers, pay-per-click link shorteners, paid-download hosts, or any other channel that generates revenue from the act of distribution.

Voluntary donations that are not tied to access to Aurora, to any feature of it, or to support for it, are not commercial use. Hosting an unmodified copy on a platform that shows advertising incidental to the platform itself, from which you receive no revenue, is not commercial use either. The Authors may offer early access to pre-release builds, cosmetic content or other privileges as a reward for community support, including Discord server boosting; no other party may offer such privileges in respect of Aurora.

4. Redistribution of unmodified copies

You may redistribute and mirror unmodified copies of Aurora only if all of the following are true:

• The License is included, complete and unaltered, and all copyright, authorship and attribution notices are preserved and intact.
• The name and branding of Aurora are preserved without alteration.
• No fee of any kind is charged, and section 3 above is not violated.
• The copy is clearly identified as an unmodified copy and links back to the official source.
• You cease distribution and remove the copy within fourteen (14) days of a written request from the Authors.

Pre-release builds are excluded. You may not redistribute, mirror, publish or otherwise make a pre-release build available to anyone without prior written permission from the Authors, and this restriction continues to apply after the corresponding public release ships.

5. Forks and modified copies

• While Aurora is actively developed, you may not publish or distribute a fork by any means. You may create and keep forks privately.
• Aurora is considered dormant if the Authors have published no public release, nightly or beta build, repository commit or public statement of continued development for nine (9) months. Dormancy is judged at the moment a fork is first published.
• While Aurora is dormant, a fork may be published if it prominently states that it is an unofficial derivative of Aurora Launcher and links to the official source, does not claim endorsement or affiliation, preserves all copyright and authorship notices, includes the License complete and unaltered, complies with section 6, contains no supporter content, and does not violate section 3.
• A fork may not be called "Aurora" or "Aurora Launcher", nor any name differing from those only by capitalisation, spacing, punctuation or visually similar characters. A derived name such as "BetterAurora", or an entirely unrelated name, is permitted.
• Forks made for the purpose of contributing back to the main repository, including commits and pull requests, are not subject to the renaming requirement.

6. Author services

• No right is granted for any modified version of Aurora to access, connect to or query our network services, API endpoints, databases, telemetry collectors, content delivery resources or credentials ("Author Services"). Any fork must remove or replace every reference to them before distribution.
• You may not extract, reuse or redistribute any credential, API key, token or endpoint address obtained from Aurora's source code, binaries or network traffic.
• We may deny, revoke or rate-limit access to Author Services at any time, for any reason, without notice. Running an unmodified copy and reaching those services through it remains permitted, subject to those services' own terms.

7. Contributions

• Every contribution must carry a sign-off line certifying the Developer Certificate of Origin v1.1. By signing off you certify that you wrote the contribution yourself, or that you have the right to submit it under the License.
• By submitting a contribution you grant the Authors a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, publicly display and relicense it under any terms, including commercial terms. You keep the copyright in your contribution, and it is additionally licensed to all other recipients under the License.
• We are under no obligation to accept, retain or attribute any contribution.

8. Trademarks

• The names "Aurora", "Aurora Launcher" and "Aurora Team", together with all associated logos and visual branding, are reserved by the Authors. Nothing here grants a right to use them, except to accurately identify the origin of the Software as required by sections 4 and 5.

9. Third-party software

• Aurora may include, link to or invoke third-party libraries, frameworks and tools, including Slint, various Rust crates, and Unreal Engine tooling such as RETOC and UE4SS. Those components are governed by their own licenses, which are not superseded by ours and which may grant you broader rights in respect of those components.

10. Prohibited use

You may not:

• Use Aurora for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent or unauthorized activity.
• Use Aurora in a way that bypasses third-party platform rules or rights.
• State or imply that a modified copy is endorsed by, affiliated with or supported by us.

11. Updates, suspension and termination

• We may update, change, pause, suspend or discontinue parts of Aurora at any time.
• Your rights under the License terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its terms, and you must then stop using Aurora and destroy all copies you hold, except any the law requires you to keep.
• If you cure the violation within thirty (30) days of becoming aware of it, your rights are reinstated provisionally, and permanently if we give you no further notice of that violation within sixty (60) days after the cure. Termination of your rights does not terminate the rights of anyone who received a copy from you and remains in compliance.

12. Privacy Policy

• Our privacy policy available at getaurora.moe/privacy tells what data we process off our users. As of August 2026, Aurora does not process any marketing related data.

13. No affiliation

• Aurora is an independent software. References to third-party platforms, games services or trademarks do not mean Aurora is affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or authorized by those third parties.

14. Warranty and Liability

• Aurora is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of Aurora is with you.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility or error-free usage, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

15. Account actions enforced by third parties

• Use Aurora at your own risk. We are not liable for any actions taken towards your Neverness to Everness or other third party accounts including warnings, suspensions or permanent bans that might result from using Aurora.

16. Mod Usage and Safety

• Any damages caused to your device by using mods with Aurora does not hold us liable. We can't know which mods are safe and which ones aren't. Most mod providers like GameBanana have moderators in place to prevent hosting of malicious mods. Aurora is a launcher and mod manager for said mods, and we have no systems that we can put in place to determine if a mod is dangerous or not.

17. Governing law

• These terms and the License are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict of law principles. If any provision is held unenforceable, it is narrowed to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable, or severed if it cannot be, and everything else stays in force.
• Nothing here restricts any right the law grants you that cannot be restricted by agreement, including rights of observation, study, backup and decompilation for interoperability under Directive 2009/24/EC where it applies.

18. Changes and Contact

• We may post updates about these terms on getaurora.moe/terms. The Authors may also publish revised versions of the License; each release of Aurora is governed by the version distributed with it, and a later version does not retroactively change the terms of an earlier release.
• Questions about these terms or data access, and any request for the written permission required above, can be sent to our Discord or to the Authors directly (datura.xoxo, alawapr.rs).
